If you look at my latest posts it would imply that I love simple, clean-cut, minimal and mostly monochrome styling. Experimenting with different styles is my thing, but really – I’m a denim girl at heart.
There are two very simple, very basic principles to my dressing ethics – when in doubt, wear black – and when dressing for comfort, wear denim and a tee. In this case, I’ve done both.
A lot of people ask me what inspires me, and honestly I’m inspired by everything around me but the thing that has the greatest influence over me is music. Hip hop and rock being the main genres in my playlists, though like my cloths, I love a great variety.
This particular look I put together with the latest from my favourite denim label, Levi’s. The genre of music inspired from – well, it speaks for itself. Growing up in the 90s and naughties I listened to a lot of grunge and rock and I guess this is tribute to and brings out the boyish grunge in me.
This Bang Records is the product of a collaboration between Levi’s and Sony, and being a men’s tee with a great graphic it immediately caught my eye and worked it with a perfect fitting pair of black cut-off denim shorts, black washed trucker denim jacket and a plaid western shirt tied around the waist. My first piece of plaid and black denim jacket in my current wardrobe, and certainly not the last time I’ll be wearing them.
Completing the look I threw on some matte black wayfarers and biker boots – the perfect spring/summer and festival outfit. Or if you’re feeling a little rocker and wanted to just rock some awesomely authentic denim and street wear pieces from Levi’s.
