I got a case of the blues lately – of the good kind. Blue waters, navy jackets and good old boyfriend jeans.
Rarely did I wear this shade unless they were the blue on denim. But something struck a chord in me that all of a sudden I had to have blue jackets. Like this Saba piece – probably my first navy jacket. Ever. I guess being such a black lover I always though navy was so close to black that I opted for the latter. But not anymore – I’m actually experimenting. And the boy is proud – blue is his favourite colour.
The whole look is from Saba, minus the accessories and shoes. I wanted something chic but casual, easy-going and comfortable. Saba are perfect at doing both classy and comfortable – often fusing the two so there’s something for every one. Their most recent opening was at the Emporium, where I shopped this look – and if you haven’t been there yet the store is immaculately and beautifully presented.
If you can’t head into store or are overseas, there’s always online. The shoes are a new shade for me too; it’s hard for me to find a shade that best matched my skin tone, so when i found these babies from Wanted Shoes I had to have them. Gold buckle, back zip, perfect height and width of the strap – also have them in black too, of course
Complimenting and dressing it up is my favourite bag of the moment by Lya Lya, Finishing off with these white and leopard sunnies by Pared, adding some extra edge to an overall simple look.
