On my quest to become more feminine I did the almost unthinkable today. I wore a skirt and florals. Together. In one look. Might not be that shocking for you, but it is for me. And for Jesse, who swore he’d never see me in a short skirt and/or florals for a very, long, time.
As promised, I’ try new things. Experiment with styles, colours, etc. So when I picked up this floral embroidered jacket and skirt combo, I knew it would be the beginning of something. Mind you it did take me a good few weeks before I decided to wear it, and some complimentary weather to suit. But I finally did it, and you know what? Wasn’t so bad.
Added my own flavour with some of my new favourite jewellery from Haati Chai – statement neck piece and some cuffs, which I don’t do often either but loved the overall allure and toughness it added to the predominantly créme ensemble. I think when you’re going for such a soft, slightly sexy and feminine look – especially for the first time, it’s always good to add some heavy metal jewellery to toughen the look, some equally bad ass shades and high heeled boots.
