Doing the D.O.P (dress over pants). Something I never thought I’d even consider trying, but when I assembled this look – it just felt right.
As the weather warmed up toward the end of the week, but still keeping the fluctuating temperatures in mind, I wanted to create a lighter layered look. Love it or hate it, I think the dress or skirt over pants is here to stay. Given the pieces work harmoniously – it ain’t a crime.
If you’re a first timer when it comes to this kind of styling (like me), I’d suggest to stick with simple, clean-cut and sleek lines in very basic shades like monochrome. Keep the pants fitted and the dress length reasonable, and create a tiered-like effect with full-length pants, knee-length dress, then a hip-skimming jacket.
Something else that’s new. You might have noticed a change in our photography – the style of imagery, quality and overall feel of each image. We like to take everything we do to new heights and as we progress to the next stage of our careers – so should our equipment. For the inquisitive ones – and just to proudly announce – we shoot with Leica. We couldn’t recommend Leica highly enough; I think the images from the past ten posts speak for themselves…
