Politely Pink

It might not seem like it – but I don’t have a lot of pink in my wardrobe. It’s a sea of whites, blacks and nudes, in all sorts of shades. Then there’s the minority – including pink, navies, and the odd khaki or bold colour. But you know when I do colour, I make the most of it!

Another thing I try to keep at a minimum – jumpsuits. Not the most practical, nor convenient attire especially after dark – but they look so. Damn. Good. And when it looks like this – and in the sweetest pink colour – it makes it all OK. What it lacks in comfort and convenience, it makes up for in style, design and fabrication.

I kept this look pretty minimal, kept the palette soft, feminine and within the same colour family. Because the fabric is quite detailed, there was no need for extra stuff. And because it’s oh-so-girly, I wanted to add a little edge and toughen it up ever so slightly one of my favourite leather bikers – in pink. Completing the look are my essential go-to pumps in nude (can never go wrong with theses) and latest bag obsession – this Lya Lya demi in nude with a fierce as hell gold embellished bird skull clasp.

I also wanted to try something different from my usual clean and minimal backdrops. Well – it’s really more that I’m going back my roots and shooting editorials more often to mix it up a bit. Hope you like! Many more of this style to come…
