Westfield: The Front Line – Play it Cool

This. Playsuit. Is. Everything! The second installment of my Westfield collaboration features the perfect, most flirtiest playsuit that actually make you feel all kinds of playful yet sexy at the same time.

Playsuits, rompers or jumpsuits may not be for everyone – heck, they may not be the most practical thing to wear (particularly after a few drinks on a night out), but damn they look good. And when you find the right one, these inconveniences are forgiven and overshadowed by the the charm that only a one-piece can possess.

This particular playsuit – by Alice McCall, is the cutest I’ve come across in a while. The frills give thrills like no other and the detachable slip means you can leave as little or as much to the imagination as you like. I prefer the latter of course. But with or without lining, it sits and fits perfectly, with the right length and proportions and the most gorgeous shade of pale blue. The frills though – I mean, they really make the piece.

However, I did find the mid-section lacking a little somethin’ somethin’, so I added my flavour and styled it with this beautiful sass & bide leather wrap tie belt to give it some edge and character. Matching the belt perfectly are some sass & bide cat’s eye shades – my favourite shape in eyewear, it’s so flattering on pretty much any shape face. Then to really complete the look, I’ve paired with these stunning Aquazzura heels, coincidentally with tassels to match the belt. Et voilá! The perfect look for spring summer.

Despite the accessories I wanted the focus to still remain on the playsuit, so I kept the colour scheme very minimal to only two shades – black and blue. As a very detail oriented person, I like to ensure most, if not all aspects are well co-ordinated and themed throughout. The loosely curled blonde bob added to the youthfulness and playfulness of the look, while red lips give the whole ensemble a bit more of a grown up feel.

You can find these pieces at westfield.com .au and don’t forget – if these pieces or others that find your fancy happen to end up in your wardrobe, you can join the conversation and #JoinTheFrontLine! Would love to see how you styled your pieces…
