Ahh peach. The perfect combination of my two all-time favourite colours – nude and rosé. Or at least that’s how I like to describe it. The two hues that dominate my wardrobe and accessories wall (shoes included) aside from black, are not only classic and neutral – but perfect for any season, any time, any outfit.
As summer draws near, naturally, I lean towards these flirty, fruity shades – usually well-co-ordinated and keeping the theme throughout. So for my final Westfield feature for the year, I wanted to pay homage to the hero hues that served me so well throughout the year. Mixing party glam with sophisticated chic, I based this look off a summer social event – something that’s appropriate for the day and the night, for any social occasion.
Working with this form-fitting but slightly drapey Zhivago dress as the perfect foundation, I did what I do best and create a monochromatic look with similarly-hued accessories. If you don’t know me by now, monochrome is my jam – it’s easy to achieve, easy to wear and easy on the eye. Not to mention makes accessorizing stress-free and looks like you’ve gone that extra effort in achieving a harmonized, effortless and well-co-ordinate look.
This dress comes in other shades, but I found this nude shade to be the most striking and perfect for the warmer season. The fit works for any body shape with its fitted top half, draped bottom half and the side detailing with a functioning pocket adds a little quirk to an otherwise classic silhouette. Its high-low hemline means it’s sexy but elegant.
Elevating the dress to the glam level, I’ve paired with these deceivingly comfortable, barely-there, two-toned Wanted Shoes pumps. If you’re a veteran at walking in heels like me, they’re a great height for a long night out. And a look is never complete without accessories – they’re like the garnish to the perfect cocktail, and here I’ve styled with a perfectly matching two-tone Mimco clutch (nude with speckled pale gold in the gussets) that carry the essentials for an night out, and then lastly – some rosé gold, sparkly statement drop earrings – also by Mimco.
Keeping the feminine flirty look theme throughout, I’ve kept to my signature short, loosely-curled blonde bob with neutral make-up and a dark nude lip so as not to distract, but to enhance and really compliment the entire outfit.
So for your perfect summer soirée – or a wardrobe update in general – even a holiday haul, you can find what you need (and want) under one roof at Westfield. And if you find the perfect piece(s), be sure to share your finds and join the conversation and #JoinTheFrontLine!
