I’m back. In all black. But never basic.
This is my idea of a (not so) basic, all-black, everyday attire. An outfit that’s simple yet chic with staple pieces that make a statement. Thanks to LUISAVIAROMA, I’ve finally got my hands on some pieces I’ve had my eyes on for a while. Enter: Givenchy logo t-shirt and Antigona bag.
I call such pieces my indispensables: sunglasses, t-shirt, leather pants and heels. And a bag that can hold most of my life. If not leather pants, then jeans. If not heels, then (impractical) runners or (semi) flats/boots.
Black tees aren’t something I have too much of – I almost always go for white. But when I came across this Givenchy number from LVR – in the most flattering, slim and somewhat structured fit – I couldn’t say no. Funnily enough, I have trouble finding the perfect fitting tee. There’s literally tens – even hundreds of thousands of styles out there, and have struggled to find the one that fits and flatters my shape. Yes, even petite lasses like myself have fit issues too. Just like everybody else. Get a fit too large, it’s swimming on me but just right on someone taller. Get one too small, it’s too ‘sexy’. That’s why this Givenchy one is just right.
Then there’s the Givenchy Antigona bag. It’s one of those styles that I’ve always wanted to get a hold of, but just never got around to it I guess – until now. For me, it feels like the medium size – but in actuality, it’s the small size – and turned out to be the most ideal size (though I’m considering the medium next… thoughts?). Just like its t-shirt counterpart, it’s stylish but comfortable, chic but classic, and really just serves its purposes and then some. It holds its shape, so I can fit all my junk in there so effortlessly. The detachable strap ensures I can sling it over my shoulder should I so feel, or just let it dangle worn with the demi handle like so.
My pals over at LUISAVIAROMA always have the latest and greatest – so if I’ve inspired you to update your t-shirt or handbag collection (or wardrobe) in anyway, be sure to head on over and see what’s up!
