It’s been a long time coming, and I’m finally doing it… I’ve dusted off the old YouTube channel and I’m back with the videos! I’m excited to share with you guys my first Luxe with Less episode as part of my new How To Style series starting with this!
So, why YouTube, you ask? Isn’t it a little late, you ask? The answer is simple: I’m expanding my platforms and it’s never too late! Due to the strong reaction to my question of bringing the videos back, I decided – why not? You guys loved my stylized mini videos I post on Instagram, so I figured – why not bring you something with a little more substance and at the same time cater to those seeking a little advice and guidance with styling certain looks. Besides, On Point and I always enjoyed creating videos (it just takes much more time) and I think it’s a great way to be able to connect with you guys more.
Through my How To Style series, I’ll be delivering some fresh new content dedicated to informing my readers and viewers the way I wear and style a look. Luxe with Less was something I came up with that was all about styling luxe pieces with affordable pieces. I’ll be doing a Luxe for Less series as well, for my babes on a budget – which will be all about creating a high end look for less. There will also be more series to come as I get better at this!
I thought I’d kick of the first episode with this look – which probably also fits well under Luxe for Less. Starting with my latest purchase from Dior – the new DiorClub2 sunglasses. I almost got the visor to match – maybe I should’ve (maybe I will..?) as it would have perfectly finished off this look (á la Raoul Duke x Grandma Yetta). These shades are fire, coming in many variations you’ll want to start a collection of them. And just when you thought the style couldn’t get any better – the mini visor on these are detachable – so you get 2-for-1 kinda deal. But like, why would anyone want these off? That audacious J’ADIOR logo makes the shades!
The jacket and jeans – would you believe – are from BooHoo! Bet you couldn’t tell. The jacket is part of the new Zendaya x BooHoo collab, and the denim from the Blue range. Nothing like strategically placed shredded holes in your denim. Yes folks, jeans with exposed thighs are still a thing and if not then I’m keeping them a thing. I gotta say, they nailed the cracked gold coated fabric of the trucker jacket, though. Most definitely, a Luxe for Less item.
Whenever I do gold, I can’t help but to co-ordinate. So matchy-matchy I went with the YSL gold pumps, the hoops and accents of gold in the YSL clutch.
